Carbon Penetrant flocculates and opens up the soil profile in a manner that significantly increases water infiltration and reduces soil compaction

  • First time users see immediate reduction in standing water at irrigation!

Improves long term water holding capacity and humectancy of the soil

The water infiltration promotes leaching and allows for sodium and other salts to be dissolved and filtered below the root zone, making it a better long-term solution to dealing with salinity than products like gypsum.

  • Carbon Penetrant users eliminate gypsum entirely from their fertility programs!

The improved soil profile allows for better aeration, and the increased availability of oxygen coupled with the reduction in sodium creates an environment where beneficial aerobic microbes thrive

Catalyzes the propagation of aerobic bacteria and provides a highly-available carbon source to support the increased microbial population

  • The presence of aerobic bacteria increases the availability of the macro and micro-nutrient components of the soil, reducing the amount of commercial fertilizers necessary for optimum fertility
    • See Mitch Yribarren’s Testimonial below for more information on input cost savings!

Increase nitrogen efficiency and reduces loss due to volatilization and nitrate runoff and leaching

Jumpstart your soil regeneration!

Recommended on all crops as all stand to benefit from healthier soils and improved water efficiency

Can be applied through water-run, drip, or overhead irrigation

May be mixed with most tank fertilizers prior to application

Apply 8-10 gallons per acre annually
• Row Crops: 2 applications per season with 3-5 gallons before planting, and 3-5 gallons 3-4 weeks after planting

• Tree Crops: 3-4 applications per season with 2 large applications of 3-5 gallons in Spring and Summer and 1 small application on 2-3 gallons in the Fall

Carbon Penetrant + PNGreen
“We started using Carbon Penetrant three years ago when our orchard was 13 years old. At the time, California was in the third year of a very dry period of hydrology statewide and our irrigation district was extremely reliant on well water for the second year in a row. The water was adding to the overall salinity of the soil and the effects were more pronounced in our trees because of their age relative to other orchards in our area. Leaf tip burn, trees completely drying up and late season leaf defoliation were some of the negative effects. Our Monterey variety was so stressed from the salty well water that some actually went into a second bloom after harvest. For the first time since planting the trees in 2003, my dad and I began to discuss whether or not we will be able to get 20+ years of production from the trees or if we should begin preparing for removal and replant. As it turned out that wasn’t necessary. In the first year of applying Carbon Penetrant we noticed immediate improvement in water penetration that led to larger moisture zones. Areas that would have standing water for up to 4 days after irrigations suddenly were reduced to nothing more than wet soil after 24 hours.
